King Abdul Aziz is one of the greatest leaders in modern history. He was only eleven years old when his family was forced to leave Riyadh. He grew up in Kuwait.

He captured Riyadh in 1902. In 1913, he captured Hofuf from the Turks. He became Sultan of the Najd in 1921 and King of the Hejaz in 1926. In 1932, he joined the two kingdoms to form the modern Saudi Arabia.

King Abdul Aziz is remembered for his faith in Islam, his strength and his generosity. He died in 1953.
