زلزال يضرب اليابان ويخلف موجة تسونامي كبيرة

طوكيو- بعد ساعات على الزلزال المدمر الذي أطلق «تسونامي» عاتياً اجتاح الساحل شمال شرقي اليابان، أعلن ان عدد القتلى سيتجاوز ألفاً،

فيما لم يُعرف عدد الحرائق الهائلة وسط مخاوف من محاصرتها محطات نووية. وطلبت طوكيو مساعدة من القوات الأميركية المتمركزة في اليابان، فساهمت في تبريد إحدى المحطات النووية، في حين ترددت أنباء عن انفجار هائل في مصنع للبتروكيماويات. وتواترت أنباء عن اختفاء سفينة على متنها مئة شخص، واختفاء قطار للركاب.
وقدرت السلطات اليابانية عدد المنازل التي جرفها الـ «تسونامي» (بلغ ارتفاعه عشرة أمتار) في سينداي بـ 1200 على الأقل، كما جرفت مئات المنازل بانهيار سد في مقاطعة فوكوشيما. وأعلنت فقدان قطار على خط يربط مدينتي سينداي وايشينوماكي.
